All fishermen (fisherwomen
too) chartering with Captain Ken, or one of his skippers, are
eligible for prizes in the Ketchikan Fishing Contest. This contest
is free - just ask for your contest tickets when you book your
charter or sign up with your skipper.
You can catch and
release fish and still participate in the contest. Our skippers
are very good at estimating weights and their word is good enough
for Captain Ken. The skipper must grab the leader in order for
the fish to be "caught." Then the weight is estimated and the
fish may be either netted or released.

to winners at the end of the season...
PRIZES
HOW
TO WIN
Grand prizes will
be awarded for the three largest fish caught during the season.
- Three first prizes
will be awarded for the largest fish in 1) May/June,
2) July, and 3) August/September. These catches
will be selected after the Grand Prize Winners are removed from
the pool of contestants.
- Five second prizes
will be given for the second largest fish caught in each month
of the season. (from May through September)
- Five third prizes
will be awarded for the third largest fish caught in each month
of the season. (from May through September.)
